There will be an election for delegates for the OPCMIA International Convention.The election will be on June 8, 2019. The election will take place at the Plasterer and Cement Mason Local 502 area 5 Union hall at 739 S. 25th Ave, Bellwood, IL. Polls will be open from 8:00AM to 2:00PM.
When you work in an area other than your home local (Cook and DuPage Counties), you are required to call the Local’s area you are working in to “clear in”. Cement Masons’ and Plasterers Local 502 Area 5 Annuity Fund and the Chicago Plastering Institute has renegotiated the administration cost for the Annuity to be $8.50 per month down from $21.00 per month and the third part administrator (TPA) Quorum’s fee is $5.00 per quarter down from $10.00 per quarter.

The new Training Center is moving along, foundation is poured, a great job by Elliot Const. The steel is up and being detailed now, Once the is decking done and the floor can move forward. A great job by Local 1 Ironworkers. The site is on time and on budget in the true Union fashion!

The regular meeting of September 12, 2017 has been cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday September 9, 2017 at 9:00 am for the reading of the financial reports, refreshments will be served.
The front of the Union Hall had some much needed improvements done, a great job, concrete is poured and waiting on the landscaping.
