Special Elections for Delegates for the OPCMIA International Convention
There will be an election for delegates for the OPCMIA International Convention.The election will be on June 8, 2019. The election will take place at the Plasterer and Cement Mason Local 502 area 5 Union hall at 739 S. 25th Ave, Bellwood, IL. Polls will be open from 8:00AM to 2:00PM.

When you work in an area other than your home local (Cook and DuPage Counties), you are required to call the Local’s area you are working in to “clear in”. Failure to do so could result is charges being preferred against you. Annuity Changes
Cement Masons’ and Plasterers Local 502 Area 5 Annuity Fund and the Chicago Plastering Institute has renegotiated the administration cost for the Annuity to be $8.50 per month down from $21.00 per month and the third part administrator (TPA) Quorum’s fee is $5.00 per quarter down from $10.00 per quarter.
Labor Day Parade
Join us in the 10th Ward for the Labor Day Parade presented by Sue Garza and the friends of Labor Saturday and Sunday September 2-3 1:00pm to 10:00pm daily. It is a $5 entrance fee, but people over 50 and children under 12 are free!
Training Center
The new Training Center is moving along, foundation is poured, a great job by Elliot Const. The steel is up and being detailed now, Once the is decking done and the floor can move forward. A great job by Local 1 Ironworkers. The site is on time and on budget in the true Union fashion!
Swearing in of the Officers
